Create Exception

Some time ago there was some discussion re :

javax.ejb.CreateException: Could not create entity:java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.jaws.jdbc.JDBCCreateEntityCommand

was there a final solution beyond setting the PK value in the ejbCreate method ?
