How do i support Custom Protocol in JBOSS

Hi there

I have this custom Java application server (with its own protocol) , the services of which, I did like to move to JBOSS.

My Questions :

1. Is there a standard way I can get JBOSS to support the custom protocol ?
2. Is there a way I can plugin in a custom Connection Handler to handle my protocol ?

Yes, write your own invoker for it. Check how the current invokers work (JRMP and HTTP Invokers for instance) and have a look at the associated proxies and client side interceptors.

You'll find the invocation payload in an Invocation class, you need to rebuild that on the server side, inside the payload put the target objectname, methods, security etc. How your protocol serializes that invocation object on the wire is up to you to decide.
