"Wrong Target" exception after redeploy

Hello you all!

Starting with Jboss 4.0.4 GA i get "Wrong Target" exception on any remote bean invokation after a redeploy. Only thing that helps is restaring JBoss.

Anyone seen this?

i have the same problem. Starting JBoss with the application jar, everything is fine, but redeploying
results in this "Wrong target" Exception. What the heck?

Maybe it has something to do which an issue described here:

During installation process you can Enable Deployment isolation/ call by value. What does this mean?

I do not understand this.

Ok, i fixed it (harhar)
by compiling jboss as on my own. Strange!

Hi,

I don't know why but I too have recently started getting this problem. The bug report states this is resolved in 4.0.5sp1, but you can't get that version that I can see. I'm certainly not compiling my own version out of SVN to put into production.

Is there a public 4.0.5sp1 coming out soon or some other way to fix the issue using released software?

After installed the patch suggested by the bug page: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-3839, I still have exactly the same issue I have had: Wrong target, when re-deploying my app.

Yeah, I tried the suggested fix and found it didn't help as well. Having to restart every time I redeploy when testing is a pain.
