Jetty files in global temp directory vs. JBoss tmp dir

I really find it annoying that the temporary files for jetty (on windows) are written in my C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp directory instead of the JBoss tmp directory. Is there any way to get all the tmp files to go to the same place?

It looks like Jetty writes directly to the global TEMP directory set up in the system environmental variables. It would be nice if Jetty were modified to allow the temp directory to be specified. That way Jetty would use the JBoss temp directory rather than the global one.

I'll second that - on Unix boxes Jetty splashes a bunch of files in /tmp, which is a bad idea. I wouldn't be surprised if you could change the behavior by hacking jboss-service.xml. New topic for the FAQ?

Set the java.io.tmpdir system property. The easiest way to do this is adding it to the JAVA_OPTS variable in run.sh or run.bat.
