Embedded Catalina Service

In case of embedded Catalina service, is the tomcat servlet container and jboss ejb container running in the same jvm instance ? Or is it that two instances are created.

As the Tomcat is running under the JBoss, the JVM instance is the same for both of them.
As a matter of fact, the configuration of Tomcat is also done thru xml files in JBoss.
