Encrypted database connection (follow up)

Following this comment in an earlier thread (http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=56817),

More generically I have thought about adding support for encyrpting any mbean attribute using the service described in the datasource password encryption faq but this has not been started.

Would it be possible to get some idea of time frames (even of the roughest kind) for the above.

I am hoping to complete a JBoss4-Hibernate system by Feb-March (05). The choice of database would depend largely on the above (other things being equal).
