how to "clean" the content of a previously loaded area after

Hi,

i have the following problem:
A "onchange" command on a selectbox issues an a4j request and loads a table into the referenced area. whenever i change the selectbox another table is added to the area. What i want is, that theres only displayed the table served by the last request.

how can i do that? help would be great.

the problem was that the bean caused the problem. had nothing to do woth jsf.
