Jboss 4.0.3 SP1 j_security work in fedoracore 3 but not work

I've Move Server from fedora core 3 to Ubuntu 5.10
the installed component
sun j2sdk 1.5.0.06 (configured)
MySQL 4.1.12
JBOSS 4.0.3 SP1
and set JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/j2sdk1.5

i used to deploy my ear on my fedoracore 3 it work fine

but i move to ubuntu i can not login with j_security and no warning in console
(i use database server login)

Can you give more details ?

What is the output ? Blank page ? Nothing ?
If you change the log settings to debug / trace do you get more information ?
Have you looked at every log ? JBoss boot.log and server.log ?
In the logs of ubuntu, are there any reported errors ?
Did you configure your MySQL with the same accounts, the same privileges ? In your database configuration did you change your accont information ?
Does the MySQL driver have known issues in Ubuntu ?

By the way ... how do you like Ubuntu ?

server.log doesn't have any errors.
and i have filter that if not authenticate then force to login page
when i login that force to login page but in fedoracore 3 it can login and get otherpage. MySQL database is work OK grant all priviliges to users.

i think fedora core is not up to date and hard to maintainance then i try another that is ubuntu but still have problem.
