Oracle 11g support

Hi

Would it be possible to get Oracle 11g experimental support? Ie. the possibility to select Oracle 11g with the 10g code. As long as the option is clearly marked experimental there would be no harm?

In the earlier version of Jopr it was fairly easy to modify the source to work with Oracle 11g (http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=145368). I haven't tried it on the new one yet but it would be nice to just download and install without having to modify anything :)

So far the old version of Jopr has been working reliably on an Oracle 11g database for the last 6 months (monitoring one cluster and two standalone JBoss servers).

Actually, someone (I forget who) just recently said they had code on their box and was ready to contribute it once they tested it a bit.

I forget who that was.

Can you tell me what Oracle 11g's JDBC driver returns when you call:

connection.getMetaData().getDatabaseProductName()
connection.getMetaData().getDatabaseProductVersion()

??

I had it mostly running locally, but we need
a) install the correct mappings from the installer
b) test it a lot
and
c) think about this "warning it is unsupported" warning some more.

I can imagine that we'll add it early after 2.2 is out the door to Jopr.

We'll worry about the "what is experimental vs. supported" issue later. :)
