1. Re: Apache Operations Not working
mazz Jun 17, 2009 1:59 PM (in response to amit8484)Confirm the version. There was no 1.1.0 of Jopr (there was an RHQ binary release of that version number - but Jopr started at 2.0.0).

mazz Jun 17, 2009 3:14 PM (in response to amit8484)Where did you get your Jopr distribution? I recommend you get Jopr 2.2, since that's the latest and greatest.
(fwiw: revision 1740 is old, we're up past 4100 now) -

9. Re: Apache Operations Not working
senthur_kumaran Jun 18, 2009 10:49 AM (in response to amit8484)I am also having issues with start/stop/restart apache httpd server through Jopr.
Jopr 2.2 - process running as "jboss" account
Apache httpd 2.0 - httpd.conf has config. to start the httpd process as "jboss"
When I try to start I got the error as
java.lang.Exception: Operation START failed. Exit code: [1]
, Output : [Starting httpd: (13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
[FAILED]
]
when I try to stop it , it got the following
java.lang.Exception: Operation STOP failed. Exit code: [1]
, Output : [Stopping httpd: [FAILED]
]
Error: [null]
It seems there is something to be done in httpd init scripts...
Anybody done this before... ? -
10. Re: Apache Operations Not working
jayshaughnessy Jun 23, 2009 11:17 AM (in response to amit8484)I believe the very first Jopr binary was 1.1 and was built directly off the RHQ tag. It was prior to Jopr having its own SVN repo/tags, etc.
I highly recommend moving forward as there has been a *lot* of work done since then.
