    jmx implementation and usage...

    vmohar98

      2 questions:

What I understand is that the current implementation supports jmx1.0. Does that mean that there is no support for JMX Remote Invocation that is part of jmx 1.2?

If I am not using JBoss (I don't need a full J2EE container, just a simple servlet container like Tomcat is more than enough), can I still go ahead, download JBoss and use just the JMX/JBoss part? Are there any legal issues? Are there any dependency issues?

      thanks

The current distributions include JMX 1.1, CVS HEAD (4.0) includes current development versions of JMX 1.2 and remoting.

Yes, you can either use JBoss with the 'minimal' configuration (JBoss microkernel) or you can download a standalone JMX library from Sourceforge.
