1. Re: Clustered view of jmx-console
peterj Jan 17, 2007 10:54 AM (in response to csamguy)Each jmx-console reports only what is available in its own server. However, since the jmx-console works by querying the MBean Server, which it obtains via JNDI, you might be able to easily modify the jmx-console code to do what you want.
The only other thing I can think of is if you know what data you are interesting in consolidating, you could write a script that makes use of the twiddle command to gather the data. This is essentially what is done with Nagios and GroundWork Monitor. -

csamguy Jan 18, 2007 12:33 AM (in response to csamguy)what is a twiddle command exactly?
Thanks for the reply BTW. This is exactly what I thought it would be. I will try to modify the jmx-console code. I went thru it once and it is very easy to understand -
3. Re: Clustered view of jmx-console
csamguy Jan 18, 2007 12:38 AM (in response to csamguy)I also had another idea. If I make my MBeans as singletons, then can I view them from all the JBoss instances in the cluster?

peterj Jan 18, 2007 10:26 AM (in response to csamguy)Documentation on twiddle can be found at http://docs.jboss.com/jbossas/guides/j2eeguide/r2/en/html_single/#d0e2252.
You have read the JBoss documentation, have you not? It contains an entire chapter on the JMX implementation in JBoss.
