adrian.brock Mar 31, 2002 4:53 AM (in response to echofloripa)command.com is a bit rubbish on windows 9x/ME
Try downloading cygwin, you can then use bash

adrian.brock Mar 31, 2002 11:53 AM (in response to echofloripa)I think this might be a problem with your virus scanner.
Some of the instructions in this link might help
http://globin.cse.psu.edu/ftp/dist/piptools/docs/piptools_win98.html
Obviously, you can ignore the bits relating to piptools.

burnsanthony Mar 31, 2002 12:17 PM (in response to echofloripa)in the build XML it is telling ant to use classic compiler if you commit that part out it will use what ever compiler you have
<!-- property name="build.compiler" value="jikes"/ -->
<!-- property name="build.compiler" value="classic"/ -->
<!-- property name="build.compiler" value="modern"/ --> -

mikefinn Apr 4, 2002 9:35 PM (in response to echofloripa)Actually, adding tools.jar to your ant script's classpath will fix this problem. By default, I think it looks for:
sun/tools/javac/Main.class for the 'modern' compiler. If it doesn't find it, it barfs with the message you see.
FWIW, I would definitely go with a bash type tool (cygwin is good). cmd really has some challenges.
