Resolving jboss server lockups

This is a generally question regarding resolution of freezes in the JVM when running jboss.

Currently I have a shutdown freeze so that as the jboss tasks shutdown after serving jsps/ejbs and updating via ejbs etc it freezes at various points of the shutdown.

What is the procedure to check for where the freeze occurs? I'd like to resolve it myself so if there is a how-to on this please point me at it.

If there is not a how to, maybe I could write one once I resolve the issue.

Look at your jdk documentation for how to get a thread
dump (probably the break key?).

If you start the jboss JVM with -Xdebug it will give
you slightly more information.
