Shutdown JBoss 3.0.2

I'm starting my JBoss on other port with JAVA_OPTS=-Djetty.port=7010. But how can I shutdown my instance?

that depends how you start it. either stop the process or stop at the console with control c

that's correct. but how can I shutdown my JBoss which is running for example on port 9090? shutdown.bat connects only to port 8080.

I'm curious as to this also. We need to be able to shutdown JBoss with the shutdown.bat or .sh scripts without having to use any management console. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty simple:

shutdown.bat/sh [ ]

Strangely, however, the scripts do not shut down JBoss even though they state that they have. Here's an example:

C:\jboss-3.0.2-svcprtl\bin>shutdown http://localhost 80
Shutting down server http://localhost:80
Shutdown complete

I must be missing something?

Do *not* use any protocol specifier, only the hostname!

Example: shutdown.bat/sh localhost 8090
