starting jboss - failed

i set all the variables and derectoris, but when i try to start jboss it does'n. :(

The attached server.log is empty.

yes, it's empty... jboss don't write anything to it... what's the problem?

I had the same problem on linux. My environment was:
-Mandrake Linux 8.2
-JBoss-3.0.4 (Jetty)
-J2SDK1.4.1_01

I did not have the problem on Win2K with the same J2SDK version.
However, this issue has been solved.
Search for the thread "Exception starting JBoss".
Using J2SDK1.4.0_03 solved my problem.

Saw some bug reports too about jdk_1.4.1 and jboss 3.0
