Configuring JBoss for EJB only

Hi:

We are currently using JBoss 2.44 in production. I was wondering, what we need to do in order to use JBoss for EJB's only. Specifically, what services can be turned off and where?

Also, I noticed JBoss 3.06 configuration is considerably different. What do I need to do in JBoss 3.x to turn off all services except EJB and its dependent services? We are planning to upgrade to JBoss 3.x and I would like to have this information as well.

Just remove the deployments.

You will find some dependencies get in
the way, but you can also remove these
if you are sure.

e.g. The EJBDeployer in jboss-service.xml
has a dependency on jms because EJBs
can be MDBs. If you don't use MDBs you can
remove JMS and the dependency.
