Dead Member !!

Hi,
I have configured two node for the partition called SunPartition,
After some time second node (host2) declares that 1st node(host1) is dead

It seems that the port of host is changed after some time & this info doesnt reaches host 2, and it keeps on listening to earlier port & declares the host as dead !!!

Do anybody has any solutions ...

There was a bug in javagroups in one release where it
would suspect and kill a dead member. The dead member
would start a new channel to rejoin but the other members of
the cluster would still try to use the original channel.
If I remember correctly, this happened when the dead member
wasn't really dead, it just failed to respond to the suspect
request in time.
I can't remember the exact details but upgrading to a recent
jboss version should fix it.

But I am already using latest version jboss-3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24

The bug fix is not in that version,
it is however in 3.2.2RC1 or 3.0.8

Hi Adrian,

I am using JBoss3.2.2RC4 under HP-UX. I faced the reported problem. According to you this bug have been fixed in previous version of jboss, then why i got this error, any idea?
