shutdown script doesnt accept server and port

What is missing here?

'shutdown.sh localhost 8585 -S'

returns:

shutdown: unused non-option argument: localhost
shutdown: unused non-option argument: 8585

I have configured 2 services with different configurations and i have to have some kind of command to shutdown them separately.

If you are talking about 3.2.2 then you can use the -s switch:

shutdown -s www.myserver.com:1099 -S

Where -s requires "Specify the JNDI URL of the remote server". Port 1099 is used by default by JBoss. If you are just running on your local machine you can use localhost of course.
