JBoss 3.0.6 with JDK 1.4.2

Recently we switched to JDK 1.4.2 in JBoss 3.0.6, the JBoss will be down sometimes.
Any ideas?

Could you elaborate on what you mean by down sometimes, the conditions and whether it shut down cleanly - with a full shutdown sequence, for example. Otherwise it is difficult for anyone to provide any useful input on this.
