Address already in use: JVM_Bind error
Hi ,
we are in the process of migrating our application from JBoss 2.4.7 to JBoss 3.2.2 and are having some major issues.
Every time I restart the server it seems the ports like 1098 and 1099 and 4444 have not been released from last shut down of the server ( I have seen posting on this , but none of them have a proper solution to it. This is happening on a Windows 2000 Professional Machine with JDK 1.4.
What baffels me is that some times even restarting the machine does not help. But the problem goes away if u wait long enough after stopping the server.
(I do a proper shut down of the server using
shutdown.bat -S --server=<My Machine name> )
The server seems to shut down properly.
I have tried to see what is happening using netstat utility, but it has not really helped as the ports are not being used by any other application. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated ...
