3. Re: JBoss and Hypersonic???
pilhuhn Feb 10, 2004 12:05 PM (in response to sebmarchal)Hypersonic is running nevertheless.
Between 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 (iirc) there was a security advice that if hypersonic is running with its TCP port open, "everyone" can run arbitrary java code on the server (or something in that direction).
If you want the Hypersonic console, then open deploy/hsqldb-ds.xml and follow the instructions in there (i.e. read the comments). -

pilhuhn Feb 10, 2004 12:20 PM (in response to sebmarchal)Ok, I misread. The service=hypersonic entry in jmx-console should be there nevertheless.

5. Re: JBoss and Hypersonic???
darranl Feb 11, 2004 4:52 AM (in response to sebmarchal)I have just checked the hsqldb-ds.xml and uncommented the mbean at the bottom. That did make the Hypersonic service available.
As you are following a tutorial through this should be enough for you to get going again.
It does look as if the ability to accept tcp/ip Hypersonic connections is too closely related to the MBean and maybe some work is required to allow the MBean to be deployed without opening the TCP port. -
