1. Re: Is it possible to keep the server code outside the jboss
raja05 Sep 7, 2004 6:27 AM (in response to raghavendra)Well, it is quite possible..jboss.server.home.dir is the path to the server directory..by default it is ${JBOSS_DIST}/server and jboss.server.name is the name of urserver("default" by default)
So you could have ur server installs in a totally different location and point jboss.server.home.dir to that path..You can provide this as a startup argument when you startup jboss -

3. Re: Is it possible to keep the server code outside the jboss
raja05 Sep 7, 2004 7:27 AM (in response to raghavendra)in ur run.sh look for the java command that starts ur server(usually at the end of file)..Add a startup param like
SET JAVA_OPTS="-Djboss.server.home.dir=<ur dir> $JAVA_OPTS"
$JAVA $JAVA_OPTS \
-classpath "$JBOSS_CLASSPATH" \
org.jboss.Main "$@" &
The first line adds a startup variaabl that jboss will use to locate the server instead of the default. -

Thanks, its working. I created a batch file for these parameters. I kept this batch file inside the installation dir.
Thanks & Regards
