how can i do a get request with richfaces?

I need to make get requests to the server for caching such requests. For that razon i need to use the commandlink component from library richfaces

There's a method described which redirects all form-posts to equivalent get-request but you have to write a phase listener. I had success with this for doing searches via get-urls.

I now nothing about such possibilities with richfaces.
