how 2 install SP1 on RedHat Linux

    tlgates

I've been told by another vendor that I need to make sure that I install the SP1 for Jboss on my server before I install their product. I have downloaded jboss-4.0.4.GA-Patch1-installer.jar from the JBoss website but I don't know what to do with it. There is no README in the .jar or installation instructions.

Can someone please step me through this?

I have JBoss installed by using the jboss-4.0.4.GA.zip file from the JBoss website.

      I'm running RedHat ES 3.0 / Apache / Tomcat.

      Thanks bunches!

They probably meant that you need to have JBoss 4.0.3 SP1.

4.0.4 GA includes all 4.0.3 SP1 fixes, so you should be good to use jboss installed from the jboss-4.0.4.GA.zip.

To run installer in UI mode:

          java -jar jboss-4.0.4.GA-Patch1-installer.jar
