< rich:simpleTogglePanel > customization

Hi
Maybe you can help my. I want change rich-stglpnl-marker

as you can see here is << or >> and my question:

how can i change this to for example to UP and DOWN?

I read about how change css http://www.jboss.org/file-access/default/members/jbossrichfaces/freezone/docs/devguide/en/html/simpleTogglePanel.html but it only modify appearance of this << and don't say anything about how to change it. Sorry for my english grammar its not my national language.
