1. Re: How to deploy an ear with multiple war in jboss?
jaikiran Feb 7, 2008 9:06 AM (in response to sabanerjee)Package the war files in the ear file as follows:
myApp.ear | |--------- META-INF | | | |---------- application.xml | | |---------- myWar1.war | | | |----- WEB-INF | |------ web.xml | | | |------ jsp | |---- *.jsp |---------- myWar2.war | | | |----- WEB-INF | |------ web.xml | | | |------ jsp | |---- *.jsp
And in the application.xml, mention these 2 war files:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <application> <display-name>helloworld</display-name> <module> <web> <web-uri>myWar1.war</web-uri> <context-root>/myApp1</context-root> </web> </module> <module> <web> <web-uri>myWar2.war</web-uri> <context-root>/myApp2</context-root> </web> </module> </application>
Place this ear in the deploy folder of the server and start JBoss. -

sabanerjee Feb 8, 2008 4:25 AM (in response to sabanerjee)Thanks much for the tip Jai. It's deployed and working.
But how doI separate the logs of these two diff wars.
Thanks in advance -

Do these war files contain classes belonging to distinct package? If yes, then this can be done in a pretty straightforward way. Something similar to what's being discussed at http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=129478. If your deployment is not so simple then see if the following approach works for you:
