1. Re: automating testing of photo album application
jbalunas Jun 24, 2009 9:10 AM (in response to prabhat.jha)Excellent I'm glad to see this set up, now we just need to get the tests passing :-)
If setting the ID fixes the issue I say add it. XPath is not a good way to do this, and I think setting explicit ids is good JSF practice. -

I'm ok with that. -
3. Re: automating testing of photo album application
prabhat.jha Jun 25, 2009 11:47 AM (in response to prabhat.jha)Thanks Nick. On a similar note, if possible, please do not modify demo application and photo album for few days as I am writing/modifying test cases based on current version of these apps in 3.3.X. For example, test cases for photo album were not in synch with the app in the sense that selenium was looking for some class attributes which do not exist.

6. Re: automating testing of photo album application
prabhat.jha Jun 26, 2009 10:51 AM (in response to prabhat.jha)Regarding remaining 2 tests, I am wondering if I can get some help. It's not fun to find what a test is doing with no comment and looking for components being clicked using reverse engineering of xpath when xpath itself has changed. ;-)
