1. Re: issues with seting up jboss windows serivces.
peterj Sep 29, 2009 12:18 PM (in response to nagavijay)I don't have my Server 2008 system available just now, but I thought for sure that the service installed just fine for me. Did you run service.bat within a command prompt that you opened with the Run as Administrator option?
Also, you should be aware of the problem discussed in this post:

nagavijay Sep 29, 2009 9:04 PM (in response to nagavijay)Yes I ran service.bat at the command line. When I opened Services from Adminstration Tools--> Control pannel. I do not see the service installed.
When I tried on XP every thing works fine. I see the same batch script doesnot work on Windows 2008. -

peterj Sep 30, 2009 1:24 PM (in response to nagavijay)Yes I ran service.bat at the command line.
It seems that you read only half of my question. The half you ignored is the important half. Because without considering that aspect, the service will not install. -

nagavijay Oct 2, 2009 11:22 AM (in response to nagavijay)Yes I ran the service.bat as "Run as a Adminstration". After running as adminstration I do not see the service installed on window services.

5. Re: issues with seting up jboss windows serivces.
peterj Oct 2, 2009 11:47 AM (in response to nagavijay)Just to be clear, when I ran "service.bat install" in a command prompt, the service did not get registered. But when I ran "service.bat install" in a command prompt opened using "Run as Administrator", the service did get registered. This was in Server 2008.
Therefore, I have to assume that there is something else wrong. Go into the service.bat file and comment out the "echo off" statement and run it again. Post the command and all of the output. -

nagavijay Oct 2, 2009 12:32 PM (in response to nagavijay)Thanks peter now the services got registered.
Previously I was running service.bat by clicking running as adminstration. Now I made setting to my command prompt and after running the service.bat then i see the services registered.
Again Thanks for all your help.
