These should answer your initials questions.
Also bear in mind that since JBoss 3.0.0 has been out (31/5/02) there has been a lot of bug fixes/changes in CVS to prepare for the next JBoss release (3.0.1?) so you can also grab the very latest stuff from CVS (module "jboss-all", CVS HEAD) and try it.
