Montoring JBoss Application Server and SNMP

Hi,

I have a requirement to monitor the JBossp Application Server instance startup and shutdown events and send the SNMP traps accordingly to an NMS.

Are there any default notifications for this purpose? I am new to JMX concept.Does JMX will help for this sort of rquirement. Can anybody, please guide me on how to go around on this?

The SNMP adapter converts SNMP traps to JMX alerts. Look for information on the snmp adapter in the wiki page below.

Hi Anil,
can you confirm that what you wrote is correct?
I thought that the snmp adapter converted jmx notifications into snmp trap messages, and not viceversa as you wrote.
