We have an excellent open source java ide (Eclipse).
It supports J2SE.

I think we must develope a complete
set of plugins to support J2EE programming inside Eclipse,
based on xdoclet.

This would be a great threat to .net.

Objectlearn has a free j2ee eclipse plugin called Lomboz that does some of this. Check out the eclipse plugins page for details.
