Probably the lowest hanging fruit is (http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMAIL-77). We'd like our installer to be seamless (appologies to gavin :-P) on as many platforms as possible. For instance on Windows it should run as a service. On UNIX it should be started at startup.
