I'm using JBoss in its 3.2.1, which doesn't seem available for download and want to use it to build web services. As I can't see the JBoss.NET SAR in my install (erased, never integrated with?), I tried to download a newer version but :
      1. I'm using JBossWeb which uses Jetty and version 3.2.3 doesn't support any more Jetty has I could understand. Nevertheless, JBoss.NET started without complaining. I can see it in the JMX console.
      2. My version of Jboss doesn't seem compatible with the version of JBoss.NET packaged with JBoss 3.2.3 (methods are missing). This is a blocking issue.

      Few questions:
      1. Will Jetty be supported in the future?
      2. Is there a way, without upgrading to JBoss 3.2.3, to use JBoss.NET.

      Regards.

      Olivier.

Sorry I am getting a bit confused here.

What can't you download? JBoss 3.2.1 is still available for download from sourceforge.net.

JBoss can still be downloaded with Jetty, the latest production release is JBoss 3.2.3.

And for the question "Is there a way, without upgrading to JBoss 3.2.3, to use JBoss.NET", I think the answer is just use 3.2.1 but I think that I have missed something.

            Hello Richaud,

I was in the similar situation few days ago, but here is what I did.

JBoss 3.2.1 version doesnot have JBoss.NET. JBoss 3.2.3 version comes with Tomcat as the webserver. However you could configure axis framework which contains a SOAP engine used by JBoss.NET internally, to substitute the JBoss.NET package.

I am assuming that you are looking for a framework to develop web services, in which case I would recommend you to use Axis 1.1 with JBoss 3.2.1

            Hope this helps

last but not least, I downloaded JBoss/Jetty 3.2.3 from Source Forge. Just a problem : There is a problem with the management console which refuses to deploy if jboss.net SAR is deployed. I've just made a post fro this.

Nevertheless, removing the web management console makes it work perfectly.
