1. Re: Updatingd JDBC Datasources and container behaviour
vickyk Apr 30, 2008 12:59 PM (in response to sankul123)If you need help here make sure that you explain this properly.
You should be getting answer to your questions if you search Jboss wikis/JCA forums , if you are too lazy to do that then don't expect help . -

Thanks for the link really good one , I will read it completely once I find time.
Is there any API Jboss expose , which we can use in program to update the ds xml. I am looking for some information on MBean helper API's which read the ds xml and creates the datasource object.
I tested by updating manually , and it redeploys itself , so no issues with that. But I need to achieve this through program, also keeping in mind that code should be independent of application servers. -
6. Re: Updatingd JDBC Datasources and container behaviour
sankul123 May 7, 2008 2:37 PM (in response to sankul123)This is the solution I am using , experts please comment on this
To take *-ds.xml file inside ear -
- Added a new module under services in jboss-app.xml<jboss-app> <module> <service>META-INF/myApp-ds.xml</service> </module> </jboss-app>
- copied the myApp-ds.xml file inside META-INF in the build scripts itself.
And I will be by hook or crook updating the *-ds.xml file which will be inside my context , which requires no file permissions when run under java security.
Please let me know if anything else can be done ...
