    JTA/JTS without EJB

    cmccann

Is it possible to use the JTA/JTS functionality of JBoss without using EJB? I am using Torque for my OM and would like to avoid EJB, but yet need robust transaction support. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks.

The recent announcement of Arjuna-Transaction Service (A-TS) support for JBoss gives you what you want I think. A-TS was the Hewlett-Packard Transaction Service until the end of last year and has been deployed widely in some large scale environments. It's tried and tested technology and extremely robust. Check out www.arjuna.com or (obviously) the JBoss preferred partners page.

          All the best,

          Mark.
