jboss3.0.1RC1_tomcat-4.0.4 with apache or on port 80

I cannot get apache to work with jboss/tomcat. I have read many posts with little success. My last attempt seems to be the closest whereas when jboss starts, the console shows ajp13 listeners but still when I take off the 8080, I get Object not found (mozilla). I am running on linux mandrake 8.1. If i cannot get this to work, i am willing to just run on port 80, i have tried changing the port in both tomcat4-service.xml and catalina's server.xml but get Bind Exceptions. Any help is greatly appreciated with either solution.

Do you have an webapp installed, because there is no standard webapp configured in the jboss/tomcat default installation?

I have a webapp installed that runs fine under localhost:8080. Here are some of my config files. Let me know if you need more.

application.xml:
<web-uri>mywebapp.war</web-uri>
<context-root>/mywebapp</context-root>

Added the following to tomcat4-service.xml:


workers.properties set:
worker.ajp13.host=localhost

httpd.conf added:
<ifModule mod_jk.c>
JkWorkersFile "%JBOSSHOME%/catalina/logs/jk.log"
JkMount /*.jsp ajp13
JkMount /servlet/* ajp13
JkMount /mywebapp/* ajp13

Correction to above:
JKWorkersFile = "%JBOSSHOME%/catalina/conf/workers.properties"
