Hi,

Please could someone advise me on the software development tools to use for JBoss 3.0?

I am at the moment looking into XDoclet. What editing / debugging environment would you recommend?

Yay! I get to answer one. I can feel the Newbieness sloughing off even as I type.

I've been very happy using Eclipse (www.eclipse.org) and the Easie JBoss plugin from Genuitec (http://www.genuitec.com/products_easie.htm) both of which are freeware. I've been able to debug into ESB's with this setup after some serious fiddling with the description they provided for the Weblogic plugin, but I was never able to get the round-trip working. Someday I should probably write down all I had to do to get these configured.
