tomcat within jboss

hi,

i have downloaded the jboss suite, with the integrated tomcat.
how do i start tomcat component explicitly, without starting the ejb container ?

You can't. Starting the integrated version automatically starts tomcat for you.

If so, can I just use Tomcat expicitly, ie deploy the war file to tomcat's correct class directories, then restart the Jboss+Tomcat, so that the war file can be reloaded ?

If you're using embedded tomcat, you can deploy your WAR in jboss' deploy directory.
