Missing application web.xml using defaults only

I am trying to deploy an ear file that holds a war file. The ejb's deploy fine. The war file contains the web.xml in the web-inf dir. On deployment i get the following message: "Missing application web.xml using defaults only" and an error 404 when trying to call the servlets.

Any ideas as how to resolve.

Make sure you have the correct case

/WEB-INF/web.xml

Try jar -tf myapp.war
