JBoss shutting down automatically.

Hi all,


We are using JBoss2.4.20-Tomcat-4.0.6 for our application.
After running a day without any reasons it automatically shutting down. We are using JMS queue and Entity beans plus some JSP and Struts Servlets.

Environment

Redhat 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18-14)
JBoss-2.4.10-tomcat-4.0.6
MySQL Database

/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2/bin/java -version
java version "1.4.2"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2-b28)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-b28, mixed mode)

Any help to solve this problem?

you have a script that cleans up your tmp directory once a day?

Or a script that periodically sends signals to long running tasks.

Or you have a process cpu limit configured.
Try ulimit -a

I am not using any scripts for cleanup,

Same things happing with two different machines

Try tried with different JDK also.

Try protecting the JVM from spurious OS signals with -Xrs in JAVA_OPTS.

Thanks for all your help, we have found the problem.

Some bean call the System.exit(1) method, when ever major exception is occur.
