redbeard15 Nov 2, 2004 10:09 PM (in response to evil-termite)I worked with the tutorial at http://www.tusc.com.au/tutorial/html/ . However, this tutorial
introduced an Eclipse plugin called Lomboz into the mix. It really didn't teach me about EJB
design and development.
Quite frankly, the best book/tutorial I found on EJBs was Wiley's Mastering Enterprise
JavaBeans by Ed Roman, Second Edition. I think the third edition has now been released.
It doesn't use Xdoclet, but I ran through the development of two or three beans using the
book manually writing all of the code and then made the switch to xdoclet for code and
deployment descriptor generation. I re-wrote the examples using Xdoclet and then
continued from there.
Xdoclet is a bit touchy but I seem to have forced it into submission for the work I do and it performs well.
I know Duke's Bank example does not work in JBoss 3.2.5. I fell back to 3.2.3. I don't know
if Duke's Bank example works in 3.2.6..... -
