Since you are not providing much information, I will try to become a clairvoyant.
I think your ear contains a war and some other resources, perhaps EJBs.
Split you deployment to a web-deployment for tomcat (war, all needed libs and probably jboss-client stuff) and the rest goes to jboss (EJBs, libs, ...). Your war (servlet?) is client to the bean stuff... that's it. -
