1. Re: Will JBoss 4.2.0 work on Vista ?
jaikiran Apr 19, 2008 5:46 AM (in response to ravella)I haven't seen many people, in these forums, mention using Windows Vista for JBoss. See a comment in this thread http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=123447 which says that JBoss hasn't been QAed on Vista.

2. Re: Will JBoss 4.2.0 work on Vista ?
jwenting Apr 20, 2008 8:58 AM (in response to ravella)no problems with 4.0.5, 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 that I can find.
Mind I use it only for local testing and development work, not to run a site on. -
3. Re: Will JBoss 4.2.0 work on Vista ?
peterj Apr 21, 2008 11:01 AM (in response to ravella)I have run JBossAS on Vista without any issues. Mind, though, that I turn off UAC and run with an account that is in the administrator group. And both the JDK and JBossAS are installed in folders that do not have spaces in their names.

4. Re: Will JBoss 4.2.0 work on Vista ?
jwenting Apr 22, 2008 2:21 AM (in response to ravella)no need to turn off UAC, as long as the user under which JBoss is run has rw(x?) access to the directories JBoss needs (so itself, any deployroots, and logging directories).
Same as running it under Unix really.
