1. Re: What is the difference between JBOSS IDE and JBOSS Devel

JBoss Developer studio is an Eclipse version based on jBoss (i.e. you have everything already on :-) ) but it's $$$$$

prasad_global Sep 4, 2008 6:01 AM (in response to prasad_global)Hey ,
Thanks so much for the info..
You mean to say that the JBOSS IDE is freely downloadable and free of cost and JBOSS developer studio is not free of cost and need to be purcahsed from JBOSS. i.e from RED HOT .?
I would like to know are there any functional differences. Is JBOSS Developer studio offers extra features than the JBOSS IDE ?
Are there any performance related issues with IDE becuase as it comes free than the Studio ?
Thanks and Reagrds

3. Re: What is the difference between JBOSS IDE and JBOSS Devel
francis17101970 Sep 4, 2008 10:50 AM (in response to prasad_global)As far as I know JBoss Developer studio has simply bundled all necessary plugins, I have seen only a Beta release at a Red Hat course. It was quite good for Seam integration.
Anyway for starting I'd suggest you to download a basic Eclipse version and install just the JBoss IDE plugin, there are instructions in the documentation area....
