sergeysmirnov Jul 30, 2007 11:37 PM (in response to xzuma)you are right. The support is attached on the server side. So, it should be a JSF component.

2. Re: Drop support for dynamic dom element
xzuma Jul 31, 2007 3:05 PM (in response to xzuma)Thanks Sergey!
However, if one prepares a dom element on the server, nothing in the jsf/richfaces framework forbids its further manipulating by javascript on the client, right?
For example,
Can I prepare a drop zone in jsp, so that the user on the client could then
1. change its visibility.
2. reattach to a different dom parent.
Thanks.

3. Re: Drop support for dynamic dom element
sergeysmirnov Jul 31, 2007 3:16 PM (in response to xzuma)Pay attention to the last sentence: "So, it should be a JSF component."
JSF Component created dynamically is a normal behavior of JSF. -

I will use a standard RichFaces tag to designate a drop zone. Then user will reattach it to a different parent or change visibility (hide/show) using custom javascript.
