Interbase 6 & JBoss 3.0.3 CMP...won't work!!

I have JBoss3.0.3 with Tomcat 4.1.12.in jdk1.4 and j2ee1.3.1
And database as Interbase 6 Open Edition.

This is my interbase-service.xml

My standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml is starting as

when i deplyed the interbase-service.xml in the %JBOSS_DIST/server/default/deploy dir...it was deployed successfully....

I ran a sample application for entity beans from http://iris.cs.byu.edu/tim/462/tutorial/tutorial.html

when i deployed the jar file of that application in the deploy dir...it gives me

when i run the client app also..jboss reports the same error..


any idea...what cud be the pblm

i am also using Interbase 6 with JBoss 3.0.3-Tom4.1.12
For me it works (after terrible config hours).

I think YOUR Problem may be the JDBC Mapping

if i can take your copied source as Fact you wrote in standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml
...
<type-mapping>Interbase</type-mapping>
...

The correct string is probably InterBase (uppercase B )
i am not sure if this is case sensitive. Try out.


I didnt trust the settings in my Interbase-service.xml for username and password so i added also a realm to my login-config.xml.

I changed the type mapping from 'Interbase' to 'InterBase', but still I got the same error.

It wud be great if u cud share ur config steps and the related files. May be u can publish as an article, it wud be helpful for many like me(having hard time)
