2. Re: rich:modalPanel dissappearing after click
david.spark Oct 9, 2007 12:17 PM (in response to fanningr)I had this problem and I think the issue was that the button is doing a submit too, which essentially reloads the page. Hopefully removing the h:form tags round the h:commandLink will work or you could replace it with an s:link which I believe doesn't submit the form.

fanningr Oct 10, 2007 5:34 AM (in response to fanningr)Dave thanks for the reply
Unfortunately you can remove the <h:form> from around the h:commandLink because the link will be disabled if it is not in a <h:form>.
I also tried using seam's s:link but i have the same results with it disappearing. I would just use <a href but i need to use the rendered attribute .
Any other thoughts anyone.
Perhaps it's a bug?

fanningr Oct 10, 2007 10:48 AM (in response to fanningr)Cheers.
That works. Could you give a quick explanation if you are able. I presume David was right in saying that the <h:commandLink performs a submit so it disappears. Does the <a4j:commandLink not submit then?

6. Re: rich:modalPanel dissappearing after click
dmitry.demyankov Oct 10, 2007 10:52 AM (in response to fanningr)As I understand a4j:commandLink does only partial submit - ajax request. Therefore page is not reloaded, just reRendered where necessary.
