1. Re: installing jboss AS 4.2.1
peterj Sep 22, 2007 12:01 PM (in response to lmokhesi)Congratulations, you have install JBoss AS! (There is no "installer" to run.)
At this point, make sure that JAVA_HOME is set to a directory where the JDK is installed, then open a command prompt, cd to the "bin" directory within the JBoss AS installation directory, and enter: run
On reading your post again, I have this thought: why do you think it did not install? Did you get some kind of error when you tried to run it? -

lmokhesi Sep 22, 2007 6:12 PM (in response to lmokhesi)That works fine now.
I did not set the JAVA_HOME correctly

peppermache Oct 2, 2007 2:50 AM (in response to lmokhesi)I'm having a problem when I run JBoss. I get a message saying that
JVM_Bind address is already in use
Any ideas on how to solve this? I'm new to JBoss as well and I have just downloaded it to my PC.
Thanks. -

jaikiran Oct 2, 2007 9:28 AM (in response to lmokhesi)peppermache, welcome to the forum :)
The exception that you mention is because the port(s) which JBoss uses, is already in use by some other application.
See http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=DebugBindException for more details.
