Cannot access story body in the news module

Except the admin, no user or visitor can read the extended text of any story in the news module (story titles are not links as in the admin account when click on 'news'). Can anyone show me how to set it so users other than admin can read stories, or how to control who can read what?

could you pls file these as bugs in sourceforge? i am working on refactoring the news module and will investigate.

I figured out the problem. In FormatedStory.FormatedStory(...), the line
boolean canRead = level.greaterOrEquals(Level.ACCESS_ADD);
should be
boolean canRead = level.greaterOrEquals(Level.ACCESS_READ);
to allow people to read news.
Just change the line and recompile the module.
